this one's gonna be a quickie! i've got fifteen minutes till i have to speed myself off to work.
large group last night was AWESOME! so many testimonies and all the good singing and praising was just so good for my heart!
there was a tribute to the seniors that were leaving us and someone would get up and say something about them while the other person stood beside them awkwardly trying not to cry. chris talking about his great friendship with andrew almost got me going! when boys cry they have a reason. know what i'm sayin?
yea, so andrew is leaving. i dunno where he's going or what it is he's doing but it's gonna be good. ya know, for not really talking to the guy or having any type of bond with him whatsoever i can really say that i love that kid and am sad to see him go. maybe he won't go far. i've been hearing whisperings about him leading a summer bible study...with hope of course! but that should be great. *whisper whisper*
they put out some journals for the seniors and i signed andrews. didn't really know what to put in it. so i wrote about how i liked his speaking voice (it's real deep and cool sounding) and loved his singing voice and how he was an inspiration to me. this kid is just amazing in his faith. the fact that he's a boy and is amazing in his faith is even more great! there is hope!
chris is going to become one of the real leader people for IV on URI! he'll over see stuff and get paid and it's going to be wicked good. chris can speak so well, then there's the guitar playing and the singing that i love also. it's just great to see guys who are in love with God. it's awesome, actually.
when we left they were handing out these packages for survival. you know, college exams can be hard on a person. they're all so sweet, giving us ramen (haha!) and erasers, a hilighter, some music we can listen to when we're going insane. there was some sticky notes, a pen and pencil of course. a reeses cup (mmmm), tea and cocoa. last but not least was a stress ball. haha. that they made. i'm keeping it forever! there was also a paper inside with a list of excuses we usually give to exams and studying and answers from God in scripture. i love it! why can't i be this creative!
so tonight there's a cookout to finish it all off. hope all goes well! i'm sure it will.
