Oh so very tired, precious. it's been the longest weekend since youth weekend 2 years ago.
last night was the valentine's themed dinner. it was supposed to be on v-day itself but we couldn't get enough peeps to go so we had to bump it up a week. it went on without a hitch. it was actually very good. i'm proud of all those who worked with me and eachother to make thins a success. it was better than previous years. which i am greatful for. everything was really cool.
the only thing that kind of bothered me was the fact that for some reason i was burning alive it was so hot in there. i'm talking steaming up the windows there were so many people in the room (40) and when i opened the door for a bit of fresh air the peeps complained that they were freezing. i'm like, aiite, i'm getting my hot flashes early. so i had to suffer through the night. needless to say that when someone asked loudly to take the trash out to the dumpster, i ran for it.
last night was also good cause i found out one thing...i'm a control freak. i never really realized it till then. to think that during all these 20 years i thought i was a perfectionist. now i just see that i want to control everything...because i am a perfectionist. so i'm a control freak perfectionist. i'm wondering if there's a medical term for that. but i'm just glad everyone that came and donated money to us was extremely happy with the service provided. i liked it, they liked it...hey, what more can you ask for.
at the end of it all i was ready to pass out. i'd been up since 4:30 that morning and it was now 9:30. going straight on since then was wearing on me. and my attitude was showing it. i wish i could not get so irritated at the smallest things when i'm tired. cause afterwards i think about it and i realize i was extremely dumb. after it all we slept over jess'.
but...
today was cool too. we practiced dance and went to jess' again for lunch and took a little nap and now i'm here. eyes all half-shut. not cause i'm tired either, but i am tired. you know when you get too much air in your eyes and they're kind of drying out so you have to close ur eyelids a tad? no? well that's what i'm having as we speak.
THE GREATEST THING EVER happened to me saturday! i went to a party store and saw LOTR party stuff. i'm going after work tomorrow and getting it ALL. there was one of those pointy party hats with a ring on it and i want to wear it NOW. ok...
so i guess that's really all. i guess. i'll think of something right before my mind gives out when i'm in bed. oh well. OH! this week is josh's birthday! can you guess what day! he's gonna be OLD! - Weller
